ON THE MOVE IN CONGREGATIONS: WALKING WITH JESUS!

On the Move in Congregation is a six-week program designed to help you make small and simple lifestyle improvements in your health and to grow in faith. The goals of the program are to increase your activity level by 2000 steps a day, to consume 100 fewer calories a day and to eat three servings of low-fat dairy a day.

Sponsored by our friends at the Church Health Center on Peabody in Memphis, this program is a collaborative effort to improve the spiritual and physical health of local congregations with exercise.

Piperton UMC will be sponsoring a local group. You are more than welcomed to attend. We'll begin on October 1st and conclude on November 5th.

The cost of the kit is $5.00 and includes your pedometer and your guidebook. We must collect the money for the kits before they can be ordered. Please call Diane at 861-4990 or Margaret at 734-1652 for more information or give your money to Margaret after the service.

We'll begin the program on October 1st, but you can start walking now!!

A SMALL-GROUP SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

Designed for seekers and explorers who desire an intentional walk with God that encourages a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Beginnings gives congregations the tools they need to create a welcoming place for both people interested in a life of faith and people engaged in a life of faith. They can bring questions, gain knowledge, and form or deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Beginnings is for adults at any point on their spiritual journeys. In Beginnings, adults practice Christian conversation and study of Scripture. They enjoy meaningful discussion and reflection, explore Christian faith and teachings, and enrich their experience through the closeness of the small group.

Bear with us while we get our feet on the ground. So much is happening at our church, we're upgrading the website to handle all of it.

The website will combine the best features of our Newsletter and the Bulletin. Visitors should be able to find the most current dynamic information regarding the church. Of course, static pages detailing the church’s beliefs, history, location, etc. will need to be established.

We'll also be able to run much of our electronic communication from the website as well. We already have an e-mail list-serv for prayer requests, notes from the Pastor, and an eNewsletter. Just click the STAY IN TOUCH icon on the front page, or select STAY IN TOUCH from the COMMUNICATIONS menu.

We're so glad you found Piperton UMC Online!
