There are now two homeless families living in Hope's Cottage at Fayette Cares in Somerville. The families have children ranging in ages from 8 months to 8 years old. The parents will be undergoing classes to learn the various skills they will need when they are out on their own. In the mean time,

Remember to bring your non-perishable food donations for the Moscow Food Pantry. Margaret Brownlee will be in Moscow every Thursday for the Moscow City Hall Blood Pressure Screening Program. She would really like to be able to take some food items every week. A donation box is located next to the piano in the sanctuary.

(More Later) Mission Work – Jerry Brownlee Under Construction Disaster Relief – Kerry MorrisPiperton UMC is filled with able bodied men. Recently, we’ve organized an effort to coordinate our volunteers to aid with local and regional Disaster Recovery. What can one church do to help? Everything from heavy construction to fixing sack lunches or dinners for disaster recovery volunteers—whatever needs doing. Specialized jobs are available for men interested in helping disaster victims. After a short training session, volunteers will be assigned to teams and put to work.
